Prerequisites

Maxim Money runs on .NET 8.0.  Unlike .NET Framework, this does not come pre-installed on Windows 10 and 11.  You may need to install this, by visiting:

The download you want (at the time of writing) is the .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.16.  For Windows 64 bit, this is https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-8.0.16-windows-x64-installer

.NET 8 has some advantages over .NET Framework, most notably it runs around 35% faster, which gives an improved user experience using the application.
