Microsoft Money Alternative
Maxim Money offers a modern, fast alternative to Microsoft's legacy personal finance application.
Microsoft Money is no longer supported and has reached end-of-life. It does not work reliably on Windows 11 (partly because it uses Internet Explorer under the hood, which is no longer supported and has known exploits), it no longer downloads pricing automatically, it no longer has bank connectivity, and the reconciliation process is cumbersome.

Why switch to Maxim Money?
- Maxim Money is actively developed and supported
- It works on Windows 10 and 11
- It's a 64-bit application
- It has a modern, intuitive user interface
- It is fast and responsive
- It is Open Banking ready, meaning when we turn this on it will be possible to download transactions directly into Maxim Money from your bank
- It has a Dark Mode, making it easier on your eyes in dim light
- It downloads prices automatically from multiple online sources, keeping your portfolio up-to-date
- It has a simple reconciliation process, designed to reduce mouse clicks
- It has a flexible layout, allowing you to create a dashboard with the accounts and charts you use the most
Data from Microsoft Money can be imported into Maxim Money, so you do not have to lose your history. You can then continue with a modern, supported application which works under Windows 11 and beyond.
We have also just introduced a new optional Microsoft Money theme, to give the application a more familiar look and feel:
