How to Migrate

Moving your financial history shouldn't feel like a chore. Maxim Money is designed to ingest your Quicken data seamlessly, keeping your categories, tags, and transaction history intact.

Step 1: Export your data from Quicken

1. Open your data file in Quicken Classic or Quicken Subscription.
2. Go to File > Export > QIF File...
3. Select 'All Accounts' from the dropdown menu to ensure a complete migration.
4. Choose a date range (we recommend 'All Transactions') and save the file to your desktop.

Step 2: Import into Maxim Money

1. Launch Maxim Money on your Windows device.
2. Click on File > Import
3. Select the QIF file you just saved.
4. Maxim Money will automatically import your Quicken categories to its native structure.
